Union leader says big business influenced CDC Covid policy change

Duration: 03:58

Sara Nelson, president of the Association of Flight Attendants CWA Union, said Delta Airlines and other large companies influenced the CDC’s decision to change the period of covid isolation protocols from 10 to 5 days. The action damaged the credibility of the CDC, Nelson said. “There will be people who are still contagious” who will get on planes. The move came as Delta and other airlines faced a staffing shortage due to the latest wave of covid cases, while cutting paid time off for employees. “It’s a scandal at Delta Airlines, but it’s also a scandal in this country.”
