Architecture project of the year featured in today’s Dezeen Weekly newsletter


The last edition of our Dezeen Weekly The newsletter features Lina Ghotmeh’s Stone Garden building in Beirut, Lebanon, which was named Architecture Project of the Year at the 2021 Dezeen Awards.

Stone Garden is Ghotmeh’s first architectural project in his hometown of Beirut and was designed to symbolize the resilience and long history of the Lebanese capital.

“Stone Garden is full of wonder and poetry,” said the judges of the Dezeen Awards.

Other stories in this week’s newsletter include a ski hut in Chile designed by Iragüen Viñuela Arquitectos, a roundup of ten unusual chimneys and the Triangle Tower skyscraper by Herzog & de Meuron, which will be the largest skyscrapers to appear on the skyline of central Paris since 1973.
